BIRTH OF THE KERBAL SPACE PROGRAM

As more of us Kerbal's look to the stars, we grow ever restless as to what lies beyond our sky. Following the recent advancement of rocketry and it's potential to open the door to space exploration, funding has been driven into the construction of the Kerbal Space Center. The worlds top scientists and test-pilots have been plucked from all around Kerbin and united together to challenge the seemingly impossible: to construct a vehicle that will leave our atmosphere. And so born is the Kerbal Space Program.

Spearheading the team is newly appointed Flight Director, Gene Kerman. Gene has been put in charge of missions at the recently finished KSC. In a recent interview with Gene, he stated:

'We are right on the edge of producing rocket technology that will put machines and, hopefully, Kerbals above the atmosphere of Kerbin and beyond. We can expect to see some great results in the not too distant future.'

Plans have already been revealed on the new R-Series rockets that will be KSP's pioneering step into space. Sources say that construction of R-1, the first of the space-rocket series, is complete and will be ready for launch very soon.
